Cardamom Sleepsuit - English

Construction:
The suit is knitted form the top down. Stitches are cast on for the hood and worked flat. Additional stitches are picked up on each side of the hood, and the hood is elongated from here. Decreases are made to shape the neck, and afterwards raglan increases are made to create the body. Stitches are cast on to create the armholes, and the sleeve stitches are put to rest while the body and legs are worked. The stitches of the body are separated into the two legs, which are worked in the round with decreases throughout. The sleeves are worked in the same way and at the bottom of legs and the arms, booties and mittens that can be folded, are worked. Lastly, the button placket is worked, and buttons are added.

The suit can be knitted in 7 different sizes: 0-2 (2-4) 4-6 (6-9) 9-12 (12-18) 18-24 months. The circumference of the suit is 55 (55) 59 (63) 67 (67) 70 cm. The suit is designed to be oversized, so it can be worn outside the child’s clothes.

Length:

Gauge:
21 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in double broken rib.

Needles:
4 mm circular needles with 40 and 60 cm wire.

Yarn suggestions:
Mayflower London Merino (50g = 120 m) or Lana Grossa Cool Wool Big (50 g = 120 m).

Amounts:
300 (350) 350 (400) 450 (500) 500-550 g London Merino or Cool Wool Big.
